They're baaaaacccckkkk!

What a treat..........when we came home from the mountains, I was thrilled to find out that Romeo and Juliet flew back to our pond again for the winter. This is about the 12th year they or their offspring have been making our pond their home. In the spring, Juliet lays her eggs in one of the pond plants and around Easter time they hatch. We have been very fortunate to watch this miracle almost every year...............The babies are just precious and it's wonderful to watch Juliet teach them how to fly. She takes such good care of them................. I'm amazed she can fit them all under her wings at nighttime, but she does. After she teaches them all how to fly off they go till next year.
Calling all cats!
Oh, where or where, has that little cat gone....oh, where, oh where could he be??? A major storm hit the mountains last week so thank goodness we decided to leave our cabin early for the trip down the hill. Our cats go everywhere with us so we have a nice carrier to take them home in. My hubby carried Mynx and Flame to the jeep to put them in the carrier, not realizing I left a window open. The next thing I know I see 2 cats running in different directions in loads of snow. I took off running so fast, bare-foot and all to find them. My feet just about froze, but I found Mynx and Roger found Flame. Luckily, this did not happen at night when we usually leave as it is pitch dark in the mountains. I think they both learned a lesson.............and so did we. Luckily there was a happy ending. Here is a picture of flame, one of the runaways! All things vintage.........

I was born in the wrong time.............I absolutely love anything old, vintage and weathered. What are my favorites??
Kewpie Dolls, Flapper Dresses & Purses, Vintage Powder Puffs, Beaded Flowers, Antique Post cards, buttons, ribbons and so much more.
All these things bring "Joy" to my life, just by looking at them.
The Adventures of Chloe
We received loads of snow last weekend as you can see from the pictures. My neighbor and I built the cutest Snowgirl. We named her Chloe and next week we plan to make her husband, Joey, if we get enough snow. Unfortunately, it started warming up this week and Chloe had to have a little plastic surgery to keep up her good looks. If we don't get more snow soon, Chloe may just "Melt" into depression waiting for Joey to arrive!
Stamping in the Snow
Welcome to my nook in the woods. My hubby and I purchased this darling cabin in the mountains last year. I have my own "Cottage Chic" art stamp room in the back of our home. I love to create my treasures there while watching all of the wild birds that come to visit. We get chick-a-dees, woodpeckers, finches, robins, bluejays and many more.
I think all of the birds in the neighborhood come to my house to eat. I'm constantly filling up their feeders since the weather got so.........cold. But it's worth it. I love them to death!!
